Amaryllis is known as a typical Christmas product. But is this really correct? There are more colors than red and white, more colors than you might think. In addition to red and white, salmon pink, two-colored and a number of special double-flowered varieties are available as well. Plenty of choice. At Amazone Amaryllis, the amaryllis is available as early as mid-september. This means that you can enjoy these beautiful stately flowers well before Christmas.

Amaryllis is an easy flower in terms of care and you can enjoy them for at least ten days:

- cut the stems diagonally 

- place them in a clean, preferably high vase, since the flowers are very heavy

- flower food is not necessary but will do no harm (for instance in case of a mixed bouquet)

- once in bloom the flowers grow quickly, so make sure there is sufficient room

- removing dead flowers increases the ornamental value

Remember, that when you remove a stem from the vase, it is filled with water.
