The year 2009 was a year of change and innovation for Amazone Amaryllis. In January 2009 the old greenhouse was demolished and during the spring and summer of 2009 a new greenhouse, new installations, a processing space and an office have been build.
The goal of this huge rebuilding is the realization of an efficient production location with optimum cultivation circumstances and a minimum input of energy.
The main differences with the past situation :
- the greenhouse and processing space are bigger and the set up is more efficient.
- the use of surface is better because of a mobile cultivation system.
- fossil fuel (gas) is not used anymore as a result of a warmth pump.
- the cultivation circumstances are better because of a higher greenhouse with an open screen system and nebulize-installation.
We give an overview of the rebuilding process from the end of 2008 up until the end of 2009 per month, so you can experience what such a project entails.
